Today, Hall of Fame leaker Evan Blass shared more pictures from Samsung’s forthcoming flagship Galaxy S22 series. The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra are all part of the range. The top-of-the-line model, as usual, is the most intriguing, and not just because of the specifications.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra replaces the Galaxy Note model, which went MIA last year as Samsung focused on its foldable Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. It has squared-off sides, comes with the S Pen out of the box, and has housing for the latter.
Blass claims to have discovered some photographs that will be used to promote all three phones on Samsung’s Italian website. Starting with the Galaxy S22, the images emphasise the phone’s size (70.6 x 146 x 7.6mm) and 120Hz refresh rate 6.1-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display. Photos of the phone’s back reveal that the main camera will have a 50MP sensor, the Ultra-wide camera will have a 12MP sensor, and the 10MP Telephoto sensor will assist drive a 30MP Space Zoom capability (not to mention the 10MP sensor driving the front-facing selfie snapper).
The Exynos 2200 chipset gets its own website, and it’s worth noting that it mentions the 4nm process node that Samsung Foundry is using to produce the chipset. Buyers of the Galaxy S22 will receive the phone, a USB-C to USB-C connection, and a SIM tray key in the box. The battery will be charged at a rate of 25 watts, allowing it to charge from 0 to 100% in approximately 70 minutes, according to Sammy.
Similar photos for the Galaxy S22+ have been revealed by Blass, including one that shows off the handset’s 6.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This gadget measures 75.8 x 157.4 x 7.6mm, making it taller and broader than the Galaxy S22 while keeping the same thickness and thinness. The camera specifications are identical to those of the Galaxy S22.
The phone’s battery will fast charge at 45W, and Samsung claims that fully charging the phone’s battery from 0% to 100% will take an hour. The Galaxy S22+ package will include the phone, a USB-C-to-USB-C connection, and a SIM key.
Are there any images of the Samsung Galaxy Note 22? No! It’s the Galaxy S22 Ultra with S Pen, which comes out of the box and fits into its own compartment. However, it is clear where the phone’s appearance comes from. With dimensions of 77.9 x 163.3 x 8.9mm, this is the series’ largest and thickest phone.
The gadget will include a 6.8-inch QHD Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, according to the leaked image. There’s no need to discuss the 4nm Exynos 2200 chipset because it’ll be found in all three units (except those in the states, Canada, and China where the Snapdragon 8 Gen. 1 is under the hood). However, Samsung claims that the Exynos 2200 SoC is the “smartest processor ever used in a Galaxy handset.”
On the back of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, there are a variety of camera specs to promote, including a 108MP sensor behind the lens of the primary camera, a 12MP sensor used by the Ultra-wide camera, and a pair of Telephoto lenses in front of the 10MP camera sensors that can produce a 100x Space Zoom image. The front-facing centred hole-punch selfie camera has a 40MP sensor on the rear.
The S Pen is also mentioned, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s battery can be charged in 60 minutes thanks to the 45W fast charging capability. The phone, the S Pen, the USB-C to USB-C cable, and the SIM tray key are all included in the Galaxy S22 Ultra box.
On February 9th, the Galaxy S22 series is expected to be launched. According to another tipter, Jon Prosser, Samsung has had supply chain difficulties, pushing the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s delivery date back to February 25th. According to Front PageTech’s frontman, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ will not be released until March 11th.
